What TRS is
A total return swap is an OTC derivative: the client posts agreed principal as performance support and receives the total return of a reference asset without transferring ownership. Capital efficiency defines the investment perimeter.
TRS is not leverage for its own sake, nor a short-term trading product. It is a capital-efficiency tool for long-term global allocation, available only to professional / qualified investors after KYC and suitability review. No return is promised and principal is not guaranteed.
